My name is Dana Lowe

I am a recent graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Western Governors University. I’m looking to leverage that degree and my technical skills gained thus far to attain a software or web development position that allows me to contribute to meaningful projects as part of a team and to further grow in my technical knowledge and abilities.

As my skills listed below indicate, I have a broad knowledge of both frontend and backend software architectures, I have exposure to multiple programming paradigms (functional, procedural, object-oriented), and I am comfortable working with various languages and their accompanying 3rd-party libraries. After learning several languages, the similarities have been cemented, and I now look forward to learning new languages to see what makes them unique.

Outside of work and study, I have a myriad of hobbies, including brewing beer, gardening, hiking, fishing, and home improvement, among many others. One of the main reasons I pursued a career in computer science was to be able to give another dimension to these hobbies: employing effective data analysis can increase return on my efforts, and taking my hobbies online can allow me to engage with fellow hobbyists and even potential customers. Computers and software development have such great potential to enhance our world; I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work in this field.
